The Bai Yang Holy Temple has a total area of 3,833 square meters and a height of 54 meters, surpassing the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. It is the world’s tallest copper-domed building and can be preserved for more than a thousand years.
德輝共瞻 萬古頌揚
聖殿內主祀明明上帝聖位，尊位供奉白陽三聖祖師之宏偉金身，殿內周圍環繞32位各組線來臺開荒第一代並與成立總會有功的前人輩金身塑像，次序依來臺時之天職、輩份先後排列，塑像上皆刻有各組線開道歷程簡介，及其在總會立案過程所付出的辛勞，配享聖廟，俎豆馨香。每一位朝聖者步入聖廟前，需拾級而上108石階，代表白陽應運10800年的慈航普渡，也象徵108劫，寓意進入聖廟，步步踏實，不畏關卡，以謙卑誠敬之心，勇往前行以達聖域。

The holy temple has a majestic beauty. The structural theme is “round heaven, square earth.” Pure red copper cloisonné inlay both the exterior and interior. Gold and cyan are the exterior theme colors. The pointed round roof symbolizes heaven. The round triple eaves symbolize the three mediums (heaven, earth, human), the three realms (absolute, relative, physical), and the salvation of the three eras.

Heaven bestows blessings, granting fortunes and treasures. The Jirui guardian beasts offer auspiciousness, with physical appearances that portray dignity. They greet pilgrims upon arrival, leading the pilgrims to the entrance, whose wishes create a land of fortunes.

聖廟外觀設計採天壇形式，結構材料以鋼骨為主，內外皆以景泰藍純紅銅鑲嵌，純手工打造，基座高約66米，面積300坪，較北京天壇大了一倍，內外銅鑄建材可歷千年，象徵傳承之「可大可久」。主體建築空間以「天圓地方」為理念，圓形三重簷，上、中、下代表理氣象三天，亦指天地人三才，屋頂形式為圓攢尖象徵「理天」，藻井「道」字的空間位置，為建築的中心點，代表至高無上的神聖境界，萬事萬物之起源。

銅造門景，每一片門高 4.6 米、寬 1.25 米、重 500 公斤，以福祿壽財子萬六福，代表天官賜福、事事如意，平安祥和萬世永昌。
The doors are made of bronze. Each door is 4.6 meters high, 1.25 meters wide, and weighs 500 kilograms. On it are the Six Fortunes (blessings, fortune, longevity, wealth, children, abundance), which represent the deities’ blessings and best wishes, peace, and eternal prosperity.
建築中心「道」字黃金藻井，由 99.9 純金金箔貼製而成，以道為萬物之源，萬物之長，生生不息。道字周圍斗拱造型，代表法輪常轉。
The gold caisson with the character “Tao” is made of 99.9% pure gold foil. Tao is the source of all matter and matter exists in an endless cycle. Interlocking wooden brackets surround the Tao character, representing the constant spinning of the dharma wheel.
斗拱第二層為道統前東方十八代祖，伏羲、神農、軒轅黃帝、帝堯、帝舜、帝禹、湯王、文王、武王、周公、老子、孔子等代表。
The second level of the brackets exhibits some of the Early 18 Eastern Patriarchs such as Fuxi, Shennong, Huangdi, Emperor Yao, Emperor Shun, Di Yu, King Tang, King Wen, King Wu, Duke of Zhou, Lao Tzi, and Confucius.

聖殿內圍有「龍井柱」四柱，代表春夏秋冬四季，分別以雕以竹蘭菊梅四君子象徵，四柱中間的方形空間即是「中央戊己土」。中圈十二根金柱象徵十二節，寓涵日常生活起居與節令配合，外圈再以十二根龍鳯柱代表十二氣，共為二十四節氣。十二根龍鳯柱，外以龍內以鳯雕鑄，象徵師尊師母應運，男女平等、乾坤齊渡之意義。三層圓柱加起來為總數二十八根柱，象徵「二十八宿護法壇」之意涵，整體空間融入了四季、五行、節氣，以及辦道禮節等義理。

The building is supported by twenty-eight columns.The twelve columns of the middle ring represent the twelve months. The twelve columns of the outer ring are embellished with auspicious dragons and phoenixes. These two rings of columns represent the twenty-four solar terms.
內圈 4 根稱為四季柱―春夏秋冬，柱體高達 17 米，以竹蘭菊梅君子象徵。
The four columns of the inner ring represent the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. They are seventeen meters tall and include traditional symbols of noble traits: bamboos, orchids, chrysanthemums, and plum blossoms.
明師應運天命承，共辦白陽愿弘深。尊師重道渡眾生，修辦宗旨徹始終。
Enlightened Masters’ Heavenly Mandate is of heavenly timing, allowing all to propagate in the Bai Yang Era. Respect teachers and prioritize Tao to redeem sentient beings, while retaining the purpose of cultivation from beginning to end.

內圈 4 根稱為四季柱―春夏秋冬，柱體高達 17 米，以竹蘭菊梅君子象徵。
The four columns of the inner ring represent the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. They are seventeen meters tall and include traditional symbols of noble traits: bamboos, orchids, chrysanthemums, and plum blossoms.
明師應運天命承，共辦白陽愿弘深。尊師重道渡眾生，修辦宗旨徹始終。
Enlightened Masters’ Heavenly Mandate is of heavenly timing, allowing all to propagate in the Bai Yang Era. Respect teachers and prioritize Tao to redeem sentient beings, while retaining the purpose of cultivation from beginning to end.
霞光滿天映天際，萬丈慈輝至善及，師志己聖賢希，天道酬勤志不移。夕陽餘暉幕色低垂，聖殿輝煌。誠心道守，永報天恩。
Rose-tinted rays fill the sky, merciful rays reach perfection. Undertake the aspirations of teachers and saints as our own, for Heaven rewards the diligent who possess unwavering goals. Lingering rays of sunset are closing in on the horizon; the Holy Temple stands shining. Forever repay Heaven’s grace by sincerely holding onto Tao.
綿延聖業 光耀十方
白陽聖廟興建歷時廿六年，克服諸般困難，於今年正式落成啟用，亦是師尊師母傳道90週年，一貫道來台傳道75年，以及一貫道總會成立32年的重要里程碑，為各組線文化交流、共識共榮，促進道務開拓，實踐共同理想，建立了具體的紀念指標，仰望祖師與前人輩的用血汗鋪成的修辦路，期許後人立足更高而宏觀的格局，繼往開來，承先啟後，為道傳世界永續發展，團結開創齊心以赴。
明月當空，照亮大地，一片真心上天取，慈悲喜捨更積極。星光璀璨，日月運行，不捨晝夜。如詩如畫，佛光閃耀天際，月光守護，任重道遠步天梯。
Moonlight in the sky shining upon the vast earth. A small offering of our sincerity to Heaven, the more motivation to cultivate the Four Unconditional Hearts. Stars shine brightly, the sun and moon rotate continuously. Like a piece of art, the buddhas’ rays shine across the sky, and guarded by moonlight, we ascend the heavenly ladder.
藍天白雲一望無際，青山環繞美不勝收。朝聖參訪絡繹不絕，組線交流合作團結，開道創業，修辦充滿喜悅。
Blue skies and white clouds as far as the eye can see. Luscious mountains are as beautiful as can be, as endless pilgrims make the trip. The Association unites to spread Tao, for cultivation and propagation is full of joy.
